Educational Management : an over view  The ultimate aim of education is personality development and employability. Management of Education is considered to be the most essential factor in achieving the desirable goals of higher education.   Hence, it is the concern of all those who have been involved in the process of higher education. Educational Management has now emerged as an independent discipline in itself. Educational management is to enable the right pupils to receive education from the right teachers, at a cost within the means of the State, which will enable pupils to profit by their Learning. There are different types of Educational Management  1.     Human Resource,  2.     Physical Management and Material Resource Management,  3.     Financial Management,  4.     Time Management,  Knowledge Management   Most of the Higher Educational Institutions have adopted some of these types of Management f

    A ‘Yes man’ is a dangerous man. He is a menace. He will go very far. He can become a minister, a secretary or a Field Marshall but he can never become a leader nor, ever be respected. He will be used by his superiors, disliked by his colleagues and despised by his subordinates. So discard the ‘Yes man’. - Sam Manekshaw અર્થાત : 'Yes man’ ખતરનાક માણસ છે. તે એક જોખમ છે. તે ખૂબ દૂર સુધી જશે. તે મંત્રી , સચિવ અથવા ફિલ્ડ માર્શલ બની શકે છે પરંતુ તે ક્યારેય નેતા[લીડર] બની શકતો નથી અને ક્યારેય તેનું સન્માન પણ થતુ નથી. તેનો ઉપયોગ તેના ઉપરી અધિકારીઓ દ્વારા કરવામાં આવશે , પરંતુ તેના સાથીઓ અને તેના નિચેના અધિકારીઓ દ્વારા તિરસ્કાર કરવામાં આવશે. તેથી yes man' ને દુર કરો. - સેમ માણેકશા ઉપરની વાત ફિલ્ડ માર્શલ   સેમ માણેકશા દ્વારા કહેવામા આવી ,  જ્યારે તેમની અને આપણાં ભુતપૂર્વ વડાપ્રધાન શ્રીમતી ઇન્દિરા ગાંધી વચ્ચે ૧૯૭૧ ની લડાઈ ને લઈને જે ઉગ્ર ચર્ચા થઈ જેમાં શ્રીમતી ઇન્દિરા ગાંધી એપ્રિલ ૧૯૭૧ માં ઈસ્ટ પાકિસ્તાન ની ઊભી થયેલી ગંભીર પરિસ્થિતી વચ્ચે પાકિસ્તાન ઉપર હુમલો કરવાની તરફેણ માં

  ઉચ્ચ શિક્ષણ ની ગુણવત્તા અને નેતૃત્વ: એક અભિગમ ઉચ્ચ શિક્ષણ ની જયારે પણ વાત નીકળે ત્યારે તેમાં સુધારા ના નામે અખતરાઓ વધુ છે. અને જ્યાં સુધી મારું માનવું છે કે ભારત માં અને ગુજરાત ના શિક્ષણ માં વિદ્યાર્થી ના લાભ ના નામ હેઠળ સુધારા ના નામે જેટલા અખતરા ઓ થયા હશે તેટલા કોઈ પણ વિકાસશીલ દેશ માં નહિ થયા હોય. અને કમનસીબે તેનો ભોગ વિદ્યાર્થી જ બને છે. આ અખતરાઓ આંગળી ના વેઢે ગણી શકાય તેમ છે, જેવા કે બારમાં ધોરણ ની પરીક્ષા પદ્ધતિ માં વારેઘડીએ ફેરફાર, કોલેજ ના CBCS માં અનેક વિસંગતતાઓ, અભ્યાસક્રમો માં વિસંગતતાઓ, RTE ના બહાના હેઠળ કોઈપણ પ્રકારની પૂર્વ તૈયારી વિના, અને ધારાધોરણ વગર નવી કોલેજો શરુ કરવાની હોડ. પશ્ચિમી દેશોની શિક્ષણ નીતિઓ નું આંધળું અનુકરણ. બેશક, સારી બાબતો સ્વીકારીને આપણે ગુણવત્તામાં સુધારો કરી શકીએ, પરંતુ ભારત માં આ સુધારો કાગળ પર કરવા માં આવે છે. તેને લગતા ઈન્ફ્રાસ્ટ્રક્ચર અને માનવ સંશાધન ઉપલભ્ધ કરાવવામાં પછી ઠાગાઠૈયા હોય છે. દરેક બાબત માં ક્ષતિઓ રહી જાય છે, ઉચ્ચ શિક્ષણ નો અમલ જયારે વિદ્યાર્થી સુધી પહોચે ત્યારે તે અનેક તબ્બકાઓ માંથી પસાર થાય છે. તેના માટે જવાબદાર છે, નેતૃત્વ.! દે
